Foxborough Delays Vote on Beach Street Pool Burial

Foxborough conservation board delays pool-burial decision, clears two other projects. The Conservation Commission voted unanimously to continue a hearing on demolishing a pool at 58 Beach Street until homeowner Michael Ackland decides whether to bury the pool's concrete shell on site or remove it. Ruppe of Chain Engineering said state Department of Environmental Protection solid waste rules would require pollutant testing and a deed notification if the concrete stays buried; a commission member said "I don't want to do it blindly" before knowing which way the project would go. The hearing continues to November 2. In separate unanimous votes, the commission issued a certificate of compliance closing a lapsed pool permit at 9 Kathy Drive, DEP File No. 157656, and approved an order of conditions, DEP File No. 157681, letting Jessica Baker and owner Donna Ruma rebuild a garage and deck at 12 Woods Avenue near a wetland stream.
