FOXBOROUGH — February 2, 2026 — Foxborough Conservation Commission approves parking revision, issues wetlands order, hears community garden pitch. The commission voted unanimously Monday to classify a revised parking layout at 67 Green Street as a minor modification to MassDEP file 157-667, allowing engineer Chris Gilbert of Farland Corp Engineering to proceed with a plan that relocates 18 spaces into a rear lawn area within the 100-foot wetland buffer, adding 1,332 square feet of pavement to be treated by a new water-quality catch basin. The board also voted unanimously to close the hearing and issue an order of conditions for 440 South Street under DEP file 157-669, with attorney Bill Buckley confirming his clients, Mr. and Mrs. Peterson, will remove a dock, a vehicle, and other debris within the buffer. A third file, 138 Washington Street (DEP 157-668), was continued to February 23 pending a planning board peer-review letter. Residents Kay Annberg and Rita Reilly presented an informal pitch to establish a community garden on the town's newly accepted conservation parcel at 11 Willow Street, citing food access and community-building as motivations; no vote was taken and the commission noted wildlife fencing of at least eight feet would likely be required.
