FOXBOROUGH -- April 9, 2026, Foxborough Planning Board enters executive session on FIFA World Cup security strategy. The board voted 5-0 by roll call Thursday to close its April 9 meeting and discuss security planning related to the 2026 World Cup at Gillette Stadium, One Patriot Place, adjourning without returning to open session. Before the vote, planning staff reported completing a MassHousing Technical Assistance grant project on subsidized housing inventory monitoring, receiving a signed state contract to launch a small business sign and facade program, guidelines expected by end of April, and flagging a June deadline for a community planning grant application targeting a review of the town's R15 zoning district. The board also learned that the Neponset Working Group met the same day and approved amended town meeting warrant language responding to resident feedback, with a Planning Board vote on that language anticipated at the April 23 meeting.
