Foxborough Select Board Accepts Boston Soccer 2026 Security Funding Agreement

FOXBOROUGH — March 12, 2026 — Foxborough Select Board unanimously ratifies World Cup security funding agreement with Boston Soccer 2026. The board convened Thursday for a brief session, entering executive session to discuss security personnel funding and strategy for FIFA World Cup matches at Gillette Stadium at 1 Patriot Place before returning to open session for a single vote. Members approved a letter agreement from Boston Soccer 2026 dated March 11, 2026, which will be incorporated into a broader license governing the town's role as a World Cup host community. No dollar figures from the agreement were disclosed in the public portion of the meeting. The full license is scheduled for a public hearing on March 17, 2026.
