Foxborough Select Board Votes to Seek Two-Year Marijuana Delivery Waiver

FOXBOROUGH — June 9, 2026 — Foxborough Select Board votes to block marijuana home delivery for up to two years. The board voted unanimously Tuesday to direct Town Manager Paige Duncan to submit a municipal waiver request to the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission under Chapter 65 of the Acts of 2026, blocking adult-use marijuana home delivery in Foxborough for the maximum period allowed under state law. Duncan explained that the governor signed the delivery law in April and that, without the waiver, deliveries to Foxborough addresses could begin at any time. Board members cited the town's existing prohibition on recreational marijuana sales — established by both ballot and town meeting — and a preference for watching how delivery unfolds in other communities before revisiting the policy. The board also approved a restructured ownership application for Splitsville Howl at the Moon at 220 Patriot Place, consolidating full control in owner Paul Holian's holding company GJ&K after 14 years of shared partnership ownership, and approved an alteration-of-premises update for Wormtown Brewery at 250 Patriot Place reflecting a new outdoor service window. Duncan reported that the Foxborough Police Department assumed full security control of Gillette Stadium at 6 p.m. Tuesday ahead of the FIFA World Cup matches the town is hosting.
