Foxborough Planning Board approves Patriot Place arcade permit, adds units to housing site

FOXBOROUGH — May 28, 2026 — Foxborough Planning Board grants arcade permit, expands Washington Street housing project. The board unanimously approved a special permit Thursday for J7 Adventureland, a children's indoor play space with 35 to 40 arcade games planned for the former Olympia Sports space at 246 Patriot Place, a 14,573-square-foot fit-out expected to create 15 to 20 jobs. Owner Richie Liu, represented by Beth Worling of the Craft Group, said the facility will be open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with extended Friday and Saturday hours to 9 p.m. The board also unanimously approved a minor modification to the active 138 Washington Street development by Patriot Park LLC, adding three units to bring the total to 35 after developer Cameron Grade of Bay Colony Group rotated two buildings to align with a potential land acquisition to the south. Board reorganization kept Chair Kevin Weinfeld, Vice Chair Ron Bressi, and Clerk Tom Murphy in place, with Murphy also appointed as the new Design Review Committee liaison.
