Foxborough Planning Board Renews Seven Stadium-Area Parking Permits Ahead of World Cup

FOXBOROUGH — May 14, 2026 — Foxborough Planning Board unanimously renews seven stadium-area temporary parking permits and releases four long-dormant subdivision bond funds. The board approved three-year renewals covering more than 1,100 combined parking spaces at six Washington Street and North Street properties — including a 614-space lot at 105 Washington Street operated by Agnes Corporation DBA America's Best Value Inn and a 25-year-old 123-space lot at 16 Washington Street — all under Zoning Code Chapter 275 Use B-4 with prior conditions attached; a seventh hearing, for 10 Wall Street, was continued to May 28 at 7:10 p.m. after applicant's counsel cited a member absence and a potential recusal conflict. The board also voted to release funds from four 53G escrow accounts — Forest Road subdivision, Foxborough Com Associates, Grove View Estates, and Tree Tech — some open for nearly 40 years and substantially grown with interest. Town Planner Catherine, appearing by video, reported that a Neponset-related overlay district failed at Annual Town Meeting, delaying both a rework of that article and a planned age-restricted housing initiative until at least late winter or spring 2027, and said a data center bylaw is now targeted for fall special town meeting.
